Caramel Chocolates

VEGAN/GLUTEN-FREE

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup vegan chocolate
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 coconut cream
  • 2 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. First melt down the chocolate in a microwave
  2. Grab your chocolate molds or small paper cups (the recipe makes about 10 chocolates on average depending on the size) and using a pastry brush or teaspoon spread the chocolate along the bottom and sides of the molds leaving about 1/4 left of the chocolate to cover the top at the end
  3. Then put the molds to cool for a bit and after let it settle in the fridge while you make the caramel sauce
  4. Next add the sugar to a saucepan and mix till melted over a medium heat (be careful to not burn the sugar)
  5. After the sugar has dissolved take it off the heat and add in the cream and coconut oil then start to mix till incorporated
  6. Transfer the caramel to a bowl and let it cool down completely before you start to add it to the chocolate
  7. Once the caramel has cooled take your molds out and add the caramel to each one filling bout 3/4 of it
  8. Take the remaining chocolate and cover the top scraping off the leftovers and place it to cool again before taking it out of the molds
